Diary Post 3

This is my first attempt at manipulating using Photoshop this school year. I have past experience with the programme having used it at GCSE media and AS level photography. I practiced using the magnetic lasso tool as I will have to frequently use it while creating my poster and magazine front cover. For this practice I used the logo of Empire magazine, although for my final task I will most probably use either Variety or Entertainment Weekly, due to my target audience of 14-20 year old females not regularly reading Empire magazine so it being unsuitable for promoting my film. I also experimented with different fonts, deciding on a bold sans serif as it is formal and noticeable. For my poster I will use the same handwriting-like font as my trailer, in order to create a brand image. I used a stock photo from google images for this practice, but for my final magazine cover I will take photos of my friends who are playing the main characters. The cover will also have a background, which right now I think will be either a park, which will be easily accessible, or a photography studio.
